What is a Big Bang?
A Big Bang is a challenge type event hosted by fans for fans in order to create long fics and companion pieces of artwork. Once writers have finalized their proposal or completed a portion of their piece, artists may claim the work in order to create accompanying artwork.What is the theme of this bang?
Our theme is "Out of This World"! This can mean anything from outerspace to that fantasy AU you've been meaning to write. This theme is 100% optional, however, meaning you do not have to follow it if you so choose. Feel free to stick to it or branch out as much as you like!How does it work?
Upon joining the bang, writers will be able to pitch an idea for their piece. Once pitches have been finalized, artists will anonymously review the pitches and let the mod team know of their preferences for collaboration. The mod team will then finalize pairings based on these preferences. Beta readers will similarly be paired with authors to review and help guide the flow of the story.Is there a minimum for my piece?
We ask that writers complete a minimum of 10,000 words, although you are welcome and invited to write more if you so choose. Artists must create 1 piece minimum, featuring complete line art, color, and a background. Beta readers must review at least 20,000 words.
Do I need a Discord to participate?
Yes, we require that you have a Discord in order to participate in the bang. All contributors will be expected to join our Discord server.
Do I have to be 18+ to participate?
No! We welcome all contributors ages 13+, per Discord's Terms of Service.Will NSFW content be allowed?
Due to the inclusion of minors in the project, we ask that all content produced for the bang is strictly SFW.Are you affiliated with another IzuOcha event group (Izuocha Week, Izuocha Temple, etc.)?

Guidelines
Writers
Writers will be expected to write a minimum of 10,000 words. There is no maximum word count. All pieces must be complete and previously unpublished at the time of posting. Your piece must also be completely original, meaning it cannot be a sequel or prequel to an existing work.Artists
Artists will be paired with a writer in order to create one full piece (including lineart, color, and a full background) to accompany a fic. In the event that we do not have as many artists as we do writers, volunteers may be asked to create for more than one author (however, this is not required).Betas
Betas must review a minimum of 20,000 words for the event. They will be assigned to one or multiple authors on the basis of how many projected words an author plans to write.Ratings
All content for the event must be SFW. No NSFW content will be permitted, meaning fanfictions must not exceed the Mature rating on Ao3.
